Macmillan Prize

Excitingly, my children's picture book 'Kitty in the City' received Highly Commended in this years Macmillan Prize. Unexpected, but a nice surprise! What's more, my flat-mate Ella won 3rd Prize with her book 'No Such Thing'. So we decided to embark upon the long old journey from Cornwall up to London.

Here are some snaps from the private view:

Today was also our second year final deadline. Another year over. Bonkers I hear you shout? Well, what's even more bizarre is that this morning, for the first time ever, we managed to lock ourselves out of the flat. We were 4 shoe-less, money-less, phone-less, illustration students with a deadline. It was a bit of a catastrophe! All I can say is hallelujah for spare keys.

Just to round it all off nicely, it is my flat-mates 21st birthday.
Happy birthday Kate!

Anyway, here are another few spreads from 'Kitty in the City', as promised.
